How To Reformat Your Computer with Windows 7 OS Guide in Tutorials

Reformatting your computer is very easy with windows 7 OS.
It has a plain and simple installation process that is easy to follow.
You can install Windows 7 via DVD or with bootable USB.
These are the easy steps to reformat your computer.
  • First, insert your Windows 7 boot disk into your DVD drive  and reboot your computer.
  • While your computer is rebooting, it will prompt that says “Press any key to boot from CD ….” and just press any key.
  • After you press any key, the windows will load installation files  and Win 7 will start
 

  • Select your language, time and currency format and keyboard input (US) and click next.
  • Click “Install Now” to proceed.
  •  Wait for a minute to load the Setup.
  •  Accept the license term s and click “Next”.
  •  If you are upgrading from Windows Vista select Upgrade, if you had Windows XP you have to select Custom (Advanced). Upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7 is not available. Click Custom (Advanced).
  • Select what partition where you want to install Windows 7 as long as it is greater than 4GB. But as a default, C: drive is used for installation. If you don’t have enough free space to Install Windows 7, you will receive the following warning. If you want to format the partition, go to Drive options and format the partition where you want to install windows 7. But be sure that you already done backup your files.
  • After you press Next, the installation will begin. The installation will take approximately 30 to 1 hour.
  • After the installation, your computer will reboot and since the Windows 7 is still in your DVD drive, Do not press any thing when the press any key will prompt. Just wait 5 seconds and then your PC will continue booting and finish installing your OS.
  • Windows will continue booting and installing
  • Then, you will be prompted with a Setup Windows screen for your Username and PC name. Fill in with what you like and click “Next”.
  • After the PC name and User name, You will be prompted with the password Setup. You can disable password if you like.
  • On the next page enter your Product Key for this version of Microsoft Windows 7. Also, ensure that the ‘Automatically activate’ option is selected. Click Next.
  • When the setup asks you about protecting your computer automatically you should choose ‘Use Recommended Settings’ for automatic updates.
