Here are some possible errors and possible causes:
Problem: "Sim failure" or "invalid SIM" messages
= SIM is not correctly cut and won't make correct contact with GEVEY
= GEVEY has bad/damaged contacts, repair or use new GEVEY
Problem: "No SIM"
= maybe the modem of the phone is blocked, reboot the phone and try one more time;
= GEVEY is not correctly inserted or the contacts are bad;
= SIM card is bad or not correctly cut;
Problem: "no Accept message"
= wait at least 40 seconds for the message to appear;
= try another simcard with STK enabled;
= old cards might not have STK enabled or the protocol is not supported,
maybe you should get a new simcard from your network provider;
Problem: After calling 112 the phone will show again the Accept message
= repeat the unlock procedure;
= don't hang up on the first 112 call. Wait until the phone will hang up itself;
= call 112 after hang up second time and sometimes 3'rd time;
Problem: Phone will ask for activation after you insert GEVEY and simcard.
= you need to write the correct MCC and MNC of the network where iPhone was locked - check the wikipedia article to find your MNC and MCC
Known problems: old 3G cards from 3 Italy are not working.
As a small conclusion most of the general problems are due to the bad
contact between SIM / GEVEY / PHONE so be sure card/gevey is clean and
in good shape.
